ISEC are pleased to announce a suite of awards recognising academic excellence which will be made at the second ISEC annual conference at Kingston University on September 7th 2026. These awards are designed to recognise excellence in research and scholarship in economic criminology.

Our awards will also be unique in that ISEC members will ultimately decide who wins them. The awards will be decided by the following process. First, members will be able to make nominations. All eligible nominations will then go to a Judges Committee of ISEC who will make a shortlist of five in each category. Finally,

the shortlist will be put to a vote by all ISEC members (bar the Lifetime Achievement Award, Best Publisher and Best Research Initiative which will be decided by the Judges Committee). During the voting period we also plan some online meetings where nominees can present their research.

To participate, it is essential that you are an ISEC member. It is free to join and you can do so here. We are also looking for sponsors for each of the awards. If you are interested please contact our society's President Prof Mark Button at mark.button@port.ac.uk
