ISEC Awards

In 2026 ISEC will be a launching a suite of awards to recognise excellence in research in economic criminology. These awards will be decided by ISEC members and presented at the ISEC annual conference at Kingston University on the 7th September.

We are seeking nomination for the following categories of awards by April 30th.

Best PhD (Awarded in 2025)

 

Best paper by an academic ( a person employed by an academic institution) (published in recognised academic journal or edited collection) in 2025

 

Best paper by a practitioner a (person not employed by an academic institution working in a role related to economic crime) in 2025

 

Best book published in 2025

 

Best paper by an Early Career Researcher (someone within eight years of their PhD award (or equivalent) OR six years of their first full-time or part-time academic appointment listing research or teaching as the primary function) in 2025

 

Best Paper in the Journal of Economic Criminology in 2023-2025 (Sponsored by Elsevier)

 

Lifetime achievement award

 

Best publisher of economic criminology works in 2025

 

Best initiative to promote academic research in economic criminology in 2025

If you would like to make a nomination you need to be an ISEC member, it is free to join here. You can then complete the nomination form here. You can self-nominate, but you can ony nominate one entry in each category.
